John’s journey in physiotherapy and rehabilitation is one of relentless pursuit
of excellence. He earned his Master’s in Physiotherapy from the University of
Queensland, Australia in 2008, building on his strong foundation as a Registered
Massage Therapist (RMT) in Vancouver since 2000 and a Kinesiology degree from
the University of the Fraser Valley in 2004. Currently, he’s further expanding his
expertise by completing a Transitional Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University
of Montana.
From the start, John seamlessly integrated massage therapy, kinesiology, and active
rehabilitation (AR) services into his work with ICBC, WorkSafeBC, and MSP clients (health
insurance in British Columbia Canada). His approach isn’t just about treatment—it’s about
unlocking movement potential and restoring function.
John has pursued advanced certifications in:
✅ Traditional Physical Therapy hands on approaches such as; Mulligans,
McKenzies and Maitlands approaches (M3)
✅ Functional Movement Screen (FMS)
✅ Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA)
✅ Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) / Dry Needling
✅ Anatomy in Motion movement analysis & correction
✅ Feldenkrais movement and Hypopressive Core Stabilization approach
✅ Clinical Pilates
✅ A variety of osteopathic and manual therapy workshops
His mission? Not just short-term relief , but long-term movement freedom.
His hands-on, evidence-informed approach is designed to rewire the body’s
movement patterns, targeting the root cause of dysfunction instead of just
chasing symptoms.
Marina has been redefining massage therapy since she became an RMT in 2002,
graduating from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy’s 3000-hour program.
Passionate about structural balance and pain relief, she has trained extensively in:
✔️ Muscle Energy Technique
✔️Active Release Techniques (ART)
✔️ Zero Balancing
✔️ Craniosacral Therapy (CST)
✔️ Visceral Manipulation
✔️ Positional Release Therapy
✔️And dozens of other Osteopathic approaches
Beyond private practice, Marina also taught orthopedic assessment at Utopia
Academy of Massage Therapy, helping shape the next generation of RMTs.
She is the head instructor of MyoReset — and yes, it’s because she
loves to lead!
Since 2006, John and Marina have been refining MyoReset, a unique hands-on
approach that moves one from pain and tension to freedom.
MyoReset is designed to stimulate the nervous system to reset and restore
optimal function. Unlike traditional deep-tissue techniques that rely on
prolonged holds or aggressive strokes, MyoReset works with
precise neurological input — sometimes as light as a whisper, other times
with deeper structural engagement. It’s all about delivering the right stimulus
to the sensory nervouse system to trigger the body to reset pain and tension.
Your body knows what to do if given the right clues.
John and Marina are not just therapists and educators, but also proud parents
of four energetic children (one girl and three boys). When John isn’t treating
patients or perfecting MyoReset, you’ll find him analyzing soccer matches
(at least in his own mind!), playing, or passionately supporting his favorite teams,
which at this point are the ones his children play on.
Together, John and Marina are on a mission to help people not only restore pain-free mobility, but to move optimally because therapy should be more than just healing, it’s should be about you moving freely so you can do the things that make you happy.
